General
What does Eagle Sliding Door Repair work on?
We repair residential and commercial sliding glass doors, including rollers, tracks, locks and handles, alignment, weatherstripping, and sliding screen doors.
How do I request a quote?
Use the quote form on the Contact page. Include your ZIP code, the service you need, and a short description of the problem.
Should I repair or replace my sliding door?
Many issues involve replaceable parts, so repair is often practical. Replacement may be worth considering when the frame is badly damaged or the glass unit has failed.
Can I prevent sliding door problems?
Keeping the track clean and dry, avoiding oily sprays on the bottom rail, and addressing new noises early all help.
By service
Why is my sliding glass door so hard to open?
The most common causes are worn rollers, debris or damage in the bottom track, or a panel that has dropped out of adjustment. Often more than one of these is involved, which is why we inspect the whole door.
How do I know if my rollers or my track are the problem?
Worn rollers usually cause a heavy, grinding feel along the full length of travel, while track damage tends to cause a bump or catch at specific spots. Often both are worn, which is why we inspect each.
Can a bent sliding door track be fixed?
Many dents and bends can be carefully straightened. Badly damaged rails can often be covered with a track cap rather than replacing the whole frame.
Why won't my sliding door lock anymore?
Common causes are a broken latch, a loose or missing keeper, or a door panel that has dropped so the latch no longer lines up with the keeper.
Why does my sliding door leave a gap when closed?
One end of the panel is usually sitting higher or lower than the other, often because a roller is worn or out of adjustment.
How do I know if my weatherstripping is worn?
Look for flattened, torn, or missing strips, daylight around the closed panel, and drafts you can feel with your hand.
Why does my screen door keep falling off?
Worn rollers, incorrect roller tension, or a bent frame are the usual causes. A damaged screen track can also contribute.
What patio door problems do you repair?
We repair sticking and heavy doors, worn rollers, damaged tracks, broken locks and handles, misalignment, worn weatherstripping, and sliding screen doors.
What types of commercial doors do you repair?
We focus on manual sliding glass doors in offices, storefronts, and multi-unit properties. Tell us about your doors when you request a quote.
More questions are answered on each service page, such as roller replacement and track repair.
